Question: What are 802.11pre-n or 802.11n (draft) wireless products?
You might see these so called 802.11 pre-n or 802.11n (draft) wireless products on the market, they are actually the wireless products based on 802.11n draft standard. The data transfer rates (throughput) of these products is 300Mbps or slightly higher, but still lower than 600Mbps (maximum supported throughput for final approved 802.11n).
The official 802.11n standard was approved in October 2009 and it's good to know that the future wireless product which is manufactured based on final approved 802.11n standard is backward compatible with these draft-n products.
